We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced IT NVQ Assessor to join of the UK's most reputable Training Providers.

Working as an Assessor, you will receive an excellent salary of up to £28000 + excellent holidays, pension scheme, laptop, mobile.
This is a new position and the location will be mainly covering the Midlands, with some learners further South. The IT NVQ Assessor will be mainly supporting the Level 3 Learners for ICT Professionals.

The course is designed to meet the needs of candidates wishing to pursue their career in IT. The course will contain assessment within:
- Web Development
- Systems Architecture
- Supplier Management
- Software Testing
- Telecoms
- Software design
- Networking
- Maintenance
- Hardware and Forensics
- Customer Care

As a IT NVQ Assessor you will be supporting IT Apprenticeship learners. This is a permanent position and will involve working in various IT Departments to support learners.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess learners' needs and put in place robust learning plans, with realistic and challenging goals, that enable learners to understand their personal journey and realise their potential.
- Actively support, mentor and motivate learners across the entire learner journey to help them with the timely completion of their learning aims and qualification. Contact will be varied and might include face to face, email, Skype, webinars etc.
- Observe, mark, assess and review work produced by learners to ensure it is of the appropriate standard to reflect the learner's qualification and meet the needs of the qualification. Provide insightful, constructive and informative feedback to help the learner maximize their potential.
- Proactively monitor, evaluate and improve the quality and effectiveness of own workload and working practices to ensure deadlines and targets are met and that the learner has an outstanding experience.
- Manage a caseload of Learners across sites. You will be working to set Pass rates, supported with Ofsted Grade 1 Quality Assurance

Skills and Experience Required for the IT Assessor/Tutor
- Assessors Qualification, eg A1, D32, D33, or TAQA
- Recognised Teaching Qualification would be desirable- PTLLS
- Level 4 IT Qualification or equivalent, Microsoft Certified would be an advantage
- Previous experience working in a IT role, ideally at Team Leader level or above
- Knowledge of JAVQ, SQL, HTLM Technology would be an advantage
- Proven track record in achieving Targets and Quality Standards
- Full UK Driving License and own transport, with flexibility to travel
