Head of Bids and Acquisitions |Design and Planning | London

We are looking to recruit an exceptional Bid Lead to direct the bids and acquisitions activity of a high profile and Internationally renowned Architectural practice. Your focus will be ensuring bids get out on time; making sure that team members and resources are where they should be; working closely with CEO to achieve departments long term goals and ensuring operational efficiencies are established and maintained.
You will have a commercially focused understanding of the operations which impact the business. You will evaluate potential projects in order to advise on decisions to tender for work and write and produce articulate and visually compelling bid documents, proposals and presentation material in response to requests for pre-qualification or to tender. The Head of Bids will coordinate responses from the wider bid team and have overall responsibility for all bids submitted by the bid team. You will have excellent skills in brief analysis, writing and communication and a can-do-attitude, able to support other departments in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Key responsibilities:
*To lead on the evaluation, production and delivery of expressions of interest, request for qualifications
*To work closely with CEO to achieve departments long term goals and ensure that operational efficiencies are established and maintained.
*Act as first point of contact for all new enquiries
*Supervise the work of the acquisitions team and ensure that day to day running of team is in line with departments long term goals

Skills Required
*Extensive experience of preparing bid documents and knowledge of bid processes
*Experience of leading and being part of a team
*Able to build good relationships at all levels, internally and externally
*Experience and knowledge of the Design and Planning sector is ESSENTIAL for this role
