Where does this role fit within Ted’s Team?
As part of the Brand Communication function you will be working alongside PR, Creative, CRM, Social and E-commerce as a key member of the Brand Communication team, responsible for delivering the company brand communication objectives. You will act as a guardian and ambassador for the brand at all times, ensuring that all marketing activities deliver commercial results for the brand and to the global brand vision for Ted Baker.

With significant experience in a similar role & similar sized business, you will be a self-starter, confident with a proactive attitude and be adept at managing multiple projects in a very fast paced environment. Knowledge of retail marketing is key.

Main Responsibilities

Global Retail Activity Management
o Have specific & focused responsibility for key projects and assigned stores in the global portfolio.
o Be accountable for the annual retail marketing calendar, planning, creating and executing engaging, appropriate and timely events and activities and evaluating their success.
o Be a key marketing point of contact for select global retail territories within your remit, supporting senior retail team members of the UK, EU & International retail division.
o Be a support point of contact for the junior members of the UK based marketing team and Ted’s extended marketing team in USA, LA & Hong Kong.
o Lead, manage & be accountable for retail projects & campaigns within the set remit for the Senior Marketing Executive in any given season.

Seasonal Campaign Management
o Take the lead on key elements of seasonal campaigns both offline & online ensuring robust planning, timely delivery and full evaluation of each activity. o Plan, deliver and evaluate the communications campaign to support seasonal & ad hoc projects.
o Working alongside the press, e-commerce, CRM and social media teams to support the delivery of seasonal projects & brand expansion plans.
o Working alongside the Global Marketing Manager to deliver support for relevant focus projects in any given season and supporting the Assistant Marketing Manager where required
o Deliver an analysis campaign portfolio for each campaign containing descriptions, examples and successes of every campaign.
o Enforce project planning, critical paths, budget and purchase order management, supplier management & post analysis to ensure timely planning and smooth execution of each activity.
o Ensuring multichannel values are applied where possible, working closely with the CRM and social media teams on campaign launches.

Team Management
o Be instrumental in coaching & leading junior members & work experience placements in the marketing team.
o Lead the day to day management of the marketing team work placements, determining clear development plans to ensure growth, progression and succession planning within the team.
o Work closely with the PR team to ensure that there are no gaps or overlaps, and the marketing & PR function works seamlessly to support the delivery of brand communication objectives.
o Attend and contribute to weekly team updates and lead additional team meetings where necessary.

With confidence to present to internal teams and external partners representing the brand communications team.

Tools of the Trade

 Highly organised and efficient with 'can do’ proactive attitude
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills, some copywriting skills preferred but not essential
 Ability to manage budgets and multiple projects consistently
 Sound/Advanced working knowledge of IT packages - Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
 Sound knowledge and experience of retail marketing
