Fundraising Manager


36 hours a week Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a progressive, forward thinking Charity which creates opportunity and development for all of its stake holders. Currently seeking a highly motivated and proactive Fundraising manager to lead the company’s Fundraising and Foundation programme.

The role would preferably suit someone with a background in Charities and Fundraising (at least 2-3 years’ + experience). The ideal candidate will have an excellent level of communication, ability to demonstrate logical thinking and have excellent relationship building skills.

Based in a central London location. Nearby transport links to London Bridge, Cannon St & Fenchurch St stations (Home-based work is also an option)

Will involve some travel and training day attendance


  • Work closely with the programmes team on all funding related queries
  • Explore, target and build relationships with current, past and potential funders to identify new funding opportunities
  • Develop new funding pipelines
  • Work closely with the partnerships team on business development and align with new campaigns
  • Assist other fundraisers on development at events
  • Contribute to financial reporting
  • Work closely with all departments to acquire suitable case studies / potential projects
  • Lead Fundraising Team with extensive knowledge of projects and budgets
  • Ensure that all stakeholder/funder records (CRM system) are regularly updated with accurate information
  • Keep up to date with related trends, risks and opportunities in the interests of the business

Key skills

  • Experience working as a Commercial manager or within business development in Fundraising or similar role is essential.
  • Excellent level of communication skills
  • Evidence of a track record of generating income from various grant giving bodies
  • Experience of building and relationships with potential donators
  • Social Investment experience
  • Understanding and ability of working with budgets
  • Ability to write a high standard of case for supports
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to identify and draw out key information from reports/government statistics
  • Able to handle confidential material and information
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Confident using Microsoft packages, such as Excel and Word
