An exciting and influential role had arisen with a well-structured and rapidly expanding organisation based in the centre of Norwich for an experienced Finance Manager.

The market leading business which has seen impressive growth in a niche sector has ambitious plans for its future. It is looking towards the stewardship and guidance of a technically strong and competent people manager to oversee the finance team as the business strives for continued growth.

The role will be pivotal in providing leadership and support to a dedicated finance team of 6, whilst producing commercially valuable reporting to support business decision making.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

• Manage and organise the finance team to ensure they perform efficiently and effectively in processing all transactional activity and outputting timely and accurate MI and analysis.
• In conjunction with the Financial Controller develop and implement objectives and priorities for the finance team. Review the team and individual's performance at regular meetings and appraisals.
• Provide support in team member training and progression to meet their development needs.
• Ensure monthly MI is delivered accurately and on time.
• Control the company's accounting function by maintaining and managing effective financial systems, processes and controls that meet the regulatory requirements of the business.
• Perform a detailed review and produce detailed analysis of the month's results.
• Provide financial and business analysis to the management team to facilitate informed decision making.
• Responsible for the compilation of the company's budget and forecasts, review and update to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Provide clear and concise explanations of the company's results against plan, forecast and prior quarter.
• Proactive and regular communications with the areas of the business whose work impacts or depends upon the Finance team.
• Manage the company's cash cycle, ensuring it's properly administered and monitored

You will need to have previous experience of managing staff within a busy finance department. Experience of coaching, mentoring, workflow organisation and time management are important.
