The Company
Adecco is working with one of the leading distributors of IT, communication and home entertainment products in the UK They represents over 180 manufacturers in the UK alone spanning more than 38,000 products across mobile, computing and accessories, consumer electronics, gaming, print, networking, servers and solutions, unified communications and AV solutions.

They have recently relocated their business from London to Harlow to their state of the art building, and is looking to find talented individuals to move the company forward through its next stage of growth.

Role Overview
To manage allocated suppliers saleable stock procurement and stock management process, in order to maximise stock availability for our customers whilst minimising EU's exposure to excess or aged high value stocks

Salary and Bonus
The client is offering a salary of between £25-34k including additional a bonus opportunity that is very achievable and has a potential to double in most cases

Role Duties
* Procurement - Ensure goods are procured and expediently landed in quantities to provide high stock availability and an uninterrupted supply to our customers, without exposing EU to excess stocks. This to be achieved through pro-active assessment and extraction of information from multiple sources, including existing sales run rates, extracting forecasts from sales, awareness of local market trends and promotional activities from product management, sensitivity to stages in product lifecycles and any other general product related intelligence.
* Vendor Relations - Play an active part in vendor relations throughout their lifecycle. Building and developing contact relationships at a high level to ensure we have appropriate escalation points when things don't run as planned. Hold quarterly business reviews with brands in relation to operational and supply chain metrics.
* to ensure we are understanding the trends of each brand.
* Excess stocks - constantly monitoring stock, both within EU and in the channel, to identify potential problems well before they become major issues. Working pro-actively with the vendor, the product manager and sales to build and drive the execution of strategies to reduce excess/aged stock levels through a variety of means including, contractual returns with the vendor, pro-active sales campaigns, utilisation of alternate sales channels such as EU's A&B Class, eBay, Merchants at Amazon and as a last resort, clearance houses.
* Cash flow - consider the impacts of cash flow with respect to all aspects of inventory management, working closely with the finance team to achieve this.
* Make the supply chain manager aware of any impending threats to the company regarding their suppliers
* Any ad-hoc duties deemed appropriate by the Inventory Manager

Key Requirements
Experience of working in a Purchasing Department or an administrative role involving high levels of numeracy.
