Market-leading and well-established, our foreign exchange client is one of the leading names in the market. Their Corporate Partnerships team is an increasingly important part of the business and they’re now looking to add an ambitious Business Development Executive to their London team to help grow the division.


As a Business Development Executive in the Corporate Partnerships team your role will comprise two key functions. Firstly, you will be hunting for new partners through outbound prospecting. Secondly, you’ll be reengaging and reigniting inactive or dormant partnerships.

You will have a lot of strategic support to identify new industry verticals and sectors to target for new business. Once you’ve made introductions within potential partners, you will be setting appointments for your Business Development Managers to go and meet them.

Within 6 months to a year, once you’ve proven yourself, you could be fast tracked into being a Business Development Manager yourself.

The team you’ll be joining consists of 6 other BDMs as well as Relationship Managers and Account Managers.

Imagine that for the most part of the day, you will be prospecting and calling potential new leads and contacts, then arranging appointments. Think of this role as a perfect training ground to show your worth and get a foothold into a leader in the foreign exchange sector.


This role will be perfect for you if you’re naturally confident on the phone and like hunting for new business. You’ll have an interest in the business world and you must have some experience of B2B sales. If you’ve never worked in it, foreign exchange or the financial services sector, you ought to, at least, can demonstrate your interest in it. Regarding attributes, you should be:

  • Approachable, personable and professional
  • Able to demonstrate your sales ability
  • Motivated, determined and persistent
  • Professional and credible over the phone
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Very well-organised even under pressure

As for the kind of skills and experience you should have, if you can prove that you have the following, the better matched you’re likely to be:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in professional B2B sales role
  • Comfortable and confident with telesales work including cold-calling
  • Proven interest in the financial services markets, products and services (ideally Forex)


The salary is £25,000 with OTE of £40,000 in year 1, rising considerably thereafter. In addition, there are several employee benefits available, such as BUPA membership, a staff currency allowance, and a pension scheme with company contributions to match yours.
