On behalf of a prestigious client, sjb medical are recruiting for SPR- Doctor - Resident Medical Officers to join a successful client based in London.

Permanent and fixed term contracts up to 2 years on a part time and full time basis are available. Ideally, we are looking for a commitment of X2 24 hour shifts per week.

Duties will vary dependant upon specialism. You will be involved in Registrar level clinical duties and will play a vital role in managing the medical care, working closely with Consultants to ensure that patients’ treatment and care needs are met.

Duties & Responsibilites:

The role of Resident Medical Officers (RMO) is to oversee day to day management of patients, ensure these patients are assessed daily, receive all admissions, participate in patient management with primary consultants as directed by him/her. Perform Clinical Care procedures such as intubations, chest drain insertion, venepuncture, setting up an intravenous infusion, inserting a urinary catheter, arterial blood sampling, or ECGs when required.

In addition to performing outreach rounds, assessing acutely unwell patients in the hospital and completing administrative tasks such as updating patient notes, discharge summaries and prescribing medications relevant to treatment. You will also be invited to take part or lead ward audits and research to continuous improve and strive for excellence, for staff and patients. You will be required to attend Committee groups, in house training and other relevant meetings as required.

Skills & Experience:

Experience of management acute related emergencies.

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification

Full registration with the GMC and current licence to practice.

SPR/Registrar Level experience in an acute hospital setting in the relevant specialism
