We are independent service providing community based opportunities for adults with learning disabilities who may have physical and complex health needs. We are currently undertaking an exciting period of expansion in our Outreach and Community Day Services and seek to recruit full time Support workers (36 hours per week) at our Leytonstone and SilvertownSite
Previous care experience and NVQ2 in Social Care is desirable, however training will be provided for inexperienced applicants who demonstrate a passion and commitment for providing person centred care.
As a Support Worker you will support people in the service and in the community to live the life they choose. You will promote independent living skills by assisting individuals to make decisions, enjoy their hobbies, get involved in the community as well as helping with personal care and staying healthy. You will have the opportunity to go on holidays with service users.
Successful applicants must be flexible, and may be required to do evening and weekend work
