Health and Social Care Level 5 Assessor - North West England
£26000 - £27,000 per annum plus mileage
Our client is an Ofsted Grade 2 national training provider who are committed to providing a high quality learning provision in a range of occupation areas. They are currently seeking a Health and Social Care Assessors to deliver apprenticeships in the workplace in the North West region of England.
Ideal candidates will have a solid occupational background in Health and Social Care (Adults - domiciliary and residential), have a proven track record of success as an Apprenticeship Assessor, with the ability to assess Care up to Level 5 Care Management and to also deliver the functional skills as part of the framework. You must be able to drive and be willing to cover the North West region from South Lancashire down to Merseyside and the Wirral with occasional visits across to Manchester. Our client's centre is located in Aintree and the role will be partially based from there. The ability to assess in other areas such as Business Administration & Customer Service would be an added advantage.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities to undertake this role include:
o Develop schemes of work that meet the criterion of Awarding Bodies,
o Support Learners, through initial and diagnostic assessment, leading to the development of an individual learning plan,
o Manage a caseload of Learners, ensuring that they are visited regularly and make progress in accordance with their learning plan.
o Provide appropriate tuition, to enable learners to be successful in undertaking examinations in a range of functional skills and technical certificates.
o Record learner visits and progress in the prescribed manner, using both manual documentation and the one file e portfolio system.
You will need to have the following:
* Be a qualified Assessor, able to demonstrate practical experience in delivering Apprenticeship programmes (A1 Award, TAQA, CAVA, etc)
* Practical experience in the delivery of Functional Skills (hold a teaching qualification; PTLLS or equivalent or higher)
* Solid occupational experience in adult Health and Social Care
* Full driving licence and car owner.
* Experienced in the role of Internal Verifier
* Matrix Standard (IAG) qualified
Salary is £26000 - £27,000 pa, depending on experience and qualifications. Mileage is paid at 45p per mile.
