An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation, our client Unilever are currently looking for a Part-Time Global Senior Brand Manager (Laundry) based at Unilever's prestigious facility in Blackfriars, London. This is a Part-Time temporary role for a period of 12 months starting ASAP, working a 21.75 hour week, paying up to £33189.26 per annum (£55315.00 FTE), depending on experience.

Surf is a major Unilever Laundry brand with a global turnover of Euro 1.2billion. It has enjoyed very strong growth in recent years, growing at 10% in 2016 and has successfully extended its footprint to 47 countries across the globe.

At its core, Surf is about giving a delightful fragrance experience. And our brand purpose is an extension of the 'delight' philosophy, and at the heart of the brand positioning. It's about empowering our target consumer so they can live a brighter life - unlocking possibilities for millions of women by making laundry easier and simpler, particularly where hand wash is the prevailing habit. Our recent launch of rinse-saving technology in South Africa is one example of this.

Surf's vision is to win globally in the laundry fragrance segment, to accelerate the value creation agenda and to drive brand purpose. To succeed, we will need to craft fantastic innovation and communication, deploy them flawlessly in existing and new geographies, and continue to drive profitability whilst landing purpose.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Global Brand Manager to work on a part time basis (3 days per week Wed/Thurs 3rd day is optional) as a job share. This role is to cover a maternity leave.

The role leads two business-critical global innovation projects as part of our 'value creation' agenda. Both of which are game-changing projects with the ambition to create value for the Surf brand and its target consumer. One of these projects is nearing launch and work will be required to ready the mix, including communication assets and finalising the deployment strategy for a best-in-class launch. The second 'value creation' project is at an early stage of development so a passion for creating compelling consumer propositions, strong stakeholder management and business case development will be required.
The jobholder will have ample autonomy in driving clearly defined initiatives, deploying and strengthening his / her leadership skills, frequent exposure to global, country, and functional stakeholders, and the opportunity to deploy global innovations with the potential for significant social and business impact.

*Key Responsibilities

* Lead the delivery of a key project that underpins Surf's brand ambition and purpose.

* Lead cross-functional project teams (R&D, Supply Chain, Market Research, Finance), manage stakeholders, and work directly with a significant number of Regional & Country cluster teams in bringing projects to market.

* Lead advertising and creative agencies, creating best in class BETs (Brand Experience Toolkits) for global deployment.

* Managing and developing an Assistant Brand Manager, workload and work plan management.

Job Candidate Profile

The candidate should be passionate about developing brands, from strategy through to purpose, innovation and communication.
