Scotland’s leading Scientific Instrumentation developer are expanding and as such as looking to add an additional Senior Firmware/ Embedded Software Engineer to their already very strong team developing Embedded Software/Firmware that will used to process huge amounts of data that could help scientists rewrite what we know about the Universe. The Senior Firmware/ Embedded Software Engineer will report to the product management and technical support departments who will be required to design, implement and test the embedded software element of the company’s high tech Instrumentation products.
In order to be considered you will need proven experience of commercial or industrial software / firmware product development to high quality standards.
This experience should be in all areas of software / firmware development - from gathering requirements and writing specifications to testing and debugging.
Some Microsoft Windows and Linux programming experience using C / C++/ C#.
You will also need an understanding of Object Oriented Design methods and patterns, including Unified Modelling Language (UML).
It would also be desirable if you had some of the following experience although it isn’t a deal breaker:
Knowledge of Delphi or Assembler programming languages.
Experienced in the use of 8051/80251 processors.
Experienced in the use of STMicroelectronics embedded ARM development tools.
