Electrical Engineer, Wigan
We have an excellent position available for an experienced Electrical Engineer in Wigan.
Our client formed their business in 1974 and entered the field of Thermal Heating in a modest way; at first they specialised in the manufacture and hire of gas and oil fired combustion equipment and over the years they have expanded into several markets offering services in thermal technology.
They are now an established company in the heat treatment field, operating throughout the world and providing services to a wide variety of clients in the fossil fuel, gas fired and nuclear power industries.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be working in a small manufacturing environment producing new equipment to supply the Heat Treatment Industry worldwide.
You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and your duties will include:
• Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams
• Wiring looms to fit various powder coated steel panels
• 50/65 k VA Transformer assembly
• 240 k W Mains unit assembly
• The ability to test equipment and fault find.
• Temperature Recorder assembly and calibration
• Programmer assembly and calibration
• Document test results and transfer information to test certificates.
Desirable Requirements but not essential:
• 17th edition regulations
• Knowledge of Analogue and digital electronics
• Time served in a similar industry

Hours and Rewards
The Electrical Engineer role is a full time position and you will work 40 hours per week with overtime available as and when required. There is a salary on offer of £12.20 per hour and the holiday entitlement is 20 days plus Bank Holidays.
