We are looking for three experienced Joiner to join our North East based team. You will join the Planned Works team who work within our voided and tenanted properties.

What your role will be

As a Joiner with Places for People you will be expected to carry out joinery/carpentry to a high standard. You will be carrying out all 1st, 2nd and final fixes ensuring that all work carried out meets statutory requirements, customer expectations and group procedures.
You will be working independently, following your work load of a supplied tablet. You will be responsible for your own Health and Safety and of those around you.
You will specifically focus on installing new kitchens to properties as well as undertaking some tiling and basic plumbing works.

Your background

To be considered for this role you will hold a NVQ Level 2 in joinery/carpentry.  You will have experience of working in domestic properties and carrying out responsive repair work along with work on empty properties. You should have a strong background within joinery, ideally with the housing/domestic “home fix” sector, if you have additional skills in plumbing and titling this will be deemed highly advantageous.  You will have excellent knowledge of fitting kitchens.
You should also understand the importance of providing excellent customer service and possess a positive approach to engaging with customers.  
As this is a mobile role which entails visiting our customers in their homes you will require a driving licence.
