Job Description

A permanent DevOps Application Support role with Link Asset Services has arisen. Reporting to the Support Team Lead, within a team of 5, you will be responsible for analysing code, implementing and maintaining software within agreed standards to facilitate the achievement of defined large system maintenance requirements. This role will suit A DevOps Application Support who is committed to working as part of a team, confident in liaising with internal business units, as well as being comfortable with dealing with escalations from key stakeholders and working in a fast paced, often high pressure environment.

What you will do:

On a day to day basis you will build software using toolsets, following the software lifecycle and the IT Development procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the Business teams to understand, clarify and confirm requirements and low level technical design
  • Process requests without supervision and provide guidance to junior staff
  • Carry out incident management
  • Carry out incident investigation to find and address root cause
  • Lead major incident investigations
  • Assess and contribute to prioritisation of problem/CI activity
  • Carry out technical analysis for Problem/CI.
  • Deliver Problem & Changes through SDLC
  • Participate in peer review for changes, provides guidance to peers on standards
  • Create technical design solutions from functional requirement documents for Problems
  • Develop quality software to system specifications & agreed timescales
  • Contribute to system design
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following:

Essential:

  • VB.Net & C#
  • Relational Databases/SQL/PL-SQL
  • Technical/System Analysis
  • Software development
  • Relational database development
  • Ability to think laterally and apply previous experience to new problems
  • Ability to manage workload in order to meet deadlines
  • Able to identify and correct errors, and learn from mistakes to prevent any future reoccurrence
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Team working
