QA Test Analyst - Manual

QA Test Analyst is required by a software house in rural Suffolk that has a proven track record of delivering high-quality bespoke solutions into a plethora of different industry verticals.

My client is well established and has strongly consolidated itself within the market, offering high-end bespoke software to help manage formal business processes. They are a small, close-knit team at the moment, that will be looking to grow in the coming years with a QA tester being the priority right now. This role comes on the back of the team being principally focused on software development they need a QA tester to come in, hit the ground running and own the testing process.

As the software QA Tester, you will work closely with the software development team, utilising the use of test plans which will be incorporated into the software release cycles. The main aspects of the role will be to perform QA testing for their bespoke software solutions, preparation and maintenance of the test plans and to be actively engaged with the overall release of the solutions themselves. Longer term the role is intended to provide an ownership for the whole process and the successful candidate will quickly move to a prominent role within the team.

The successful candidate will ideally have at least a year in the industry of software testing, ideally with a relevant degree e.g. Computer Science, Information Technology etc. ISEB or ISTQB qualifications will be advantageous to any applying candidate as it shows an understanding of the processes involved in software testing, although this isn't an essential requirement. Any candidate with exposure to JIRA would also be of particular interest.

The company place a high amount of importance on personality so the successful candidate will have to display an aptitude for 'reading between the lines' and being able to stand on their own two feet. You will be going in with a long-term aim to become a prominent and important member of the team and bringing a certain level of creativity to the testing process will be key to my client.

Here at Hurren and Hope, we strive to be the black sheep of the industry, with our internal training focus in Behavioural Science and Psychology giving us the ability to understand the people we are working alongside in greater detail.
