Our client, a successful independent broker has a vacancy for a Commercial Account Handler in Leeds. The role will involve administering and servicing existing commercial clients, which includes but is not limited to, renewal administration, preparation of presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums with underwriters, processing adjustments and preparing client reports and other documentation. Typical insurance products will include property, liability, fleet, professional indemnity, directors & officers indemnity, plus various personal lines products. Will be responsible for securing new commercial business from client referrals or leads generated by the company. Cross-selling insurance and approved non-insurance products according to the demands and needs of the existing clients.
Maintaining thorough and accurate computer records of all events during the renewal and new business process using the Open GI system. Ensuring standards of service to customers are in accordance the standards laid down by the department and the company in general along with FCA regulatory rules and guidelines, particularly recognising the obligation to Treat Customers Fairly (TCF).
It is essential to hold at least 2 years experience conducting commercial business in a general insurance broker or insurance company, technically competent in mainstream commercial classes, preferably with Fleet insurance experience. Progression towards the Institute Exams to at least Cert CII Level. Good written communication skills and the ability to deliver information in a clear, concise and informative way. Good inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within and outside the organisation. Good organisation skills, being exceptionally accurate and thorough with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
