Our client a market leading global business are seeking an Accountant as Finance Manager to work within their finance team at their Luton head office, working in a commercial retail led position, interacting closely with the business and working with French accounting and therefore French fluent language is essential.
Some of the responsibilities and tasks involved are:
·Provide expert financial support, advice and challenge, to ensure effective monitoring, tracking, evaluation and planning of finance to the business. Assist with budgets, forecasts and many and varied accounting responsibilities
·Produce financial management reporting and analysis to provide sharp insight for effective business planning
·Deliver monthly management accounts and reporting pack
·Monitor financial performance and analyse underlying reasons for variance to budgets and forecasts, in collaboration with the operational and commercial teams.
·Deliver accurate budgets and forecasts in accordance with Group policies and timescales
·Manage the month-end process to the Group reporting timetable
·Provide incisive financial analysis to support business decisions
·Assist in the regular reviews with non finance managers building relationships and working close with the business managers help monitor performance and delivery of objectives
The company are looking to recruit an experienced Accountant/Finance Manager who will manage one person with extensive hands on accounting experience. It is essential that you have a demonstrable personality, strong working experience of all round accounting, as well as first class IT and spreadsheet skills
You will be experienced and hold or be studying for an accountancy qualification, or equivalent. It is essential that you are fluent in French and ideally a 2nd European language but this is desirable not essential. You will be seeking an exciting and challenging role. It will suit someone who has solid accounting and academic record to date. Their ideal candidate would be someone who has worked within an industry related to the retail sector.
