Since its founding, CKGSB has achieved prominence with more than 40 full-time professors having earned PhDs or held tenured faculty positions at leading business schools such as Harvard, Wharton and Stanford. More than half of CKGSB’s 10,000+ alumni are at the CEO or Chairman level and, together, their companies accounted for one sixth of China’s GDP in 2015.

Based in London, the mission of CKGSB Europe is to help European companies to develop an elite understanding of China and to learn how to successfully do business with China via CKGSB’s customized executive programs and our enormously influential alumni networks.

The role - Public Relations Manager, London

CKGSB’s office in London has a vacancy for a Public Relations Manager. This role involves the planning and delivery of educational seminars, events and programs, the development and design of marketing materials and promotion of our programs through multiple social media channels. Managing our relationship with key stakeholders, customers, partners and the media is a key aspect of the role.

Duties and responsibilities


  • Drive the planning, organisation and delivery of educational seminars and roadshows to engage with potential customers
  • Organize and deliver events for PR campaigns, including taster seminars, roadshows, conferences, summits, networking events and targeted presentations to key clients
  • Preparation of program promotional presentations to prospective customers
  • Design and develop program-specific promotional materials in our brochure and on website; manage the quality of the design, layout, content and production
  • Attend relevant conferences, workshops and industry related events on school’s behalf staying abreast of the latest market trends and identifying business opportunities

Social media marketing

  • Improve brand image across all print and digital channels, establishing a full social media presence across multiple platforms including Linkdin, WeChat, Twitter, Youtube, and Facebook account
  • Manage and monitor company’s social digital media channels especially the quality of its content and ensure all posts are published in time with necessary follow ups where appropriate
  • Prepare, publish and distribute school bi-weekly newsletter via Mailchimp and Saleforces on school’s latestnews
  • Create and manage signup pages for different programs and events through Eventbrite
  • Monitor the effectiveness of PR campaigns through multiple platforms, e.g. Mailchimp; analyse the data collected and make recommendations to the management team

Support to team

  • Support management team on developing innovativeprograms
  • Report regularly to line manager and work closely with team members to plan and execute projects
  • Liaise with business development team to identify target audience and give support to the team to achieve sales targets

Relationship building

  • Provide administrative support for development of programs
  • Organisation of events as necessary, including project management of financial budget
  • Build and develop partnerships with new educational institutions and European organizations while maintaining and strengthening the relationships with existing customers
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned by the company and managers as required

Education and experience

  • Degree in a Business or related discipline.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English (written and verbal ) as will liaise on a daily basis with clients and partners of the business in China
  • A high level of written Chinese is essential as will be required to produce marketing and promotional materials in both English and Chinese
  • Excellent IT skills on Salesforce, proficient in Mailchimp and Eventbirte, and strong Microsoft excel skills and PPTskills
  • Knowledge of social media management and marketing skills within Chinese community
  • Understanding of China’s educational sector
  • Experience of working in both Chinese and British business cultures ispreferred
  • Ability to adhere to a structured daily routine whilst assisting with project based activities
  • Ability to deliver results under time pressure with flexibility
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally at all levels
  • Ability to work as part of a small team to make project ssuccessful

Salary:£23,000 - £26,000
