One of our Commercial clients in the Andover area is currently seeking an Assistant Category Manager to join their growing Procurement team to support in the provision of a professional service to both external stakeholders and their own internal departments.

The main category within which you will be working is freight however their is a huge opportunity to work on the indirect side of procurement also and therefore really develop in to an all round leading procurement specialist. You will be responsible for supporting projects across all categories and therefore need to be a fast learner, engaged, motivated and driven to succeed.

SAP experience would be of huge support to you in the role of Assistant Category Manager as you will be responsible for management of SAP routes and core data fields, control of data input for freight management, reconciliation of invoices against agreed supplier purchase orders, forecast modelling and reporting and analysis on output.

You will ned to be a confident communicator liaising with internal stakeholders, international customer services, regional managers, finance and freight managers.
