A dynamic Head of Business Development is required for a major Nationwide Leisure organisation highly motivated to secure and manage the growth of its UK business, leading from the front and developing the skills and effectiveness of the business development department.

This role requires a strong leader and strategic thinker with experience delivering winning pitches and tenders to local authorities.

The skills and experience required for this position as Head of Business Development are as follows:

- Solid sales and business development experience selling to public sector and local authorities.
- Experience within the Leisure, Theatres, Cinemas or Heritage sector would be important but a strong track record in Corporate Sales where tendering has been important will also be of interest.
- Successful and demonstrable experience and results with public sector tenders. Experience with PFI or PPI would be a distinct advantage.
- Clear understanding of the sales process and highly disciplined
- Good man management skills from recruitment through training, motivation, and discipline.
- Passion for the leisure industry and its future would be a distinct advantage
- Ability to develop strategic plans for the market and specific target local authority accounts
- Financially astute and knowledgeable to create high quality and profitable tenders
- Full UK Driving Licence
