ACCOUNT DIRECTOR - PROACTIVE & REACTIVE SALES

SALARY: UP TO AROUND £29,000 PLUS PERFORMANCE RELATED BONUS

LOCATION: MANCHESTER BASED WITH OCCASIONAL TRIPS TO LONDON

Highly successful restaurant group is looking for an experienced pro-active Account Director, 50/50 proactive/reactive sales within restaurants based in Manchester to generate business as well as handling booking enquiries, amendments, cancellations and invoices as well as handling any complaints and the launch of new menus and booking packages. One of your main focuses will be to drive a large group bookings into the restaurants.

The Role whilst not exhaustive includes the following:

* Responding to any sales leads in a quick and professional manner looking after any enquiries made by phone, email or website
* Deal with all bookings and cancellations etc
* Understand the restaurant group's offering - its menu and any packages offered
* Responsibility for the company booking system and use it to create and communicate bookings working closely with the restaurant teams to ensure everything is done efficiently
* Produce regular weekly reports and communicate targets
* Work with the restaurant company's Senior Managers to identify opportunities
* Work with local businesses and attractions and partner local Tourist Board in various areas in order to create joint packages to drive business
* Develop local corporate accounts with businesses
* Use telesales, research & FAM trips to develop business
* Actively develop & promote a sales culture
* Work to drive group bookings into the restaurants

REQUIREMENTS:

* Experience and proven track record of working as a Account Director or Account Manager with proactive & reactive sales experience
* MUST have similar experience within a restaurant, bar or hotel
* Pro-active sales experience
* Passionate & hungry about the industry
* Experience of working with 3rd party booking agencies and events agencies
* Experience of doing FAM trips
* Experience of managing other people - - the successful candidate will manage a team of 3 reservationists
* A real flair and passion for great customer service

SALARY:

The starting salary for this role is up to around £29,000. There is also an excellent performance related bonus and the ability to work with fun people in a great environment whilst using and developing your amazing sales skills.

The role is based in Manchester with occasional meetings in London.
