Payroll Governance Manager Global £65k to £75k + Bonus & Package - Docklands

Leading Global Financial Services organisation based in the Docklands seek a highly professional and experience payroll experrt to take charge of this Payroll Governance Payroll Global role.

Reporting into the Global Head of Payrolln the purpose of the role is as follows:

  • As part of the global payroll leadership team, contribute to the ongoing development of the overall strategy and governance & control frameworks, across the Payroll platform globally.

  • The role will directly support the 'Regional Heads of Payroll Governance', across all countries globally, with the implementation, and ongoing adherence to the global payroll strategy, which includes the:

  • Global Payroll Governance & Reporting Standards.

  • Global Payroll Risk & Control Framework.

  • Global Payroll Key Performance & Risk Indicators.

  • With the 'Regional Heads of Payroll Governance', and through close engagement with all Country Heads of Payroll, this role will:

  • Lead the implementation of specific Global payroll projects, as assigned by the Global Head of Payroll, some of which may run concurrently.

  • Support the implementation of Regional & local payroll projects.

  • Identify and progress opportunities for improvement globally, that align to global strategies/initiatives.

  • Enable the ongoing identification of operational & regulatory risk, ensuring clear mitigating plans are defined, tracked and implemented.

  • Monitor KPI's, share practices and drive consistency with an aim to improve operational efficiency and improve

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Detailed knowledge of Payroll and experience of working with or in a Country Payroll Team.

  • Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, influencing, facilitation & stakeholder management skills across all levels of management.

  • Deep understanding of operational risk and experience in identifying & implementing controls to mitigate such risks.

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.

  • Sound knowledge of LEAN and experience in delivering change and re-engineering processes.

  • Ability to work under pressure in a matrix environment with conflicting demands.

  • Sound judgmental skills to identify and resolve challenges and issues.

  • Ability to make considered decisions that protect and enhance values, reputation and commercial interests.
