Food production Chef/Chef de Partie Oxfordshire

- Great hours, £18-£26K Dependent on Experience (£26k includes the night working allowance).

Based in a rural location between Chipping Norton and Burford in Oxfordshire, you will find this amazing farm, food retail unit and restaurant based beside a renowned country estate.

The business is made up of lots of different aspects/units and much of what they sell and cook with has been produced organically on the estate itself. This also includes home reared meat and all vegetables and herbs. The retail aspect of their offering includes fresh, high quality read-meals and fresh soups, which are then sold on to high-end Supermarkets, Deli's and grocery retailers.

We are looking to recruit a Food production chef to join the team on a full-time basis based from their farm barn kitchens in Oxfordshire. The kitchen is quite similar to that of a contract catering unit and is extremely spacious. This position will involve prepping vast quantities of freshly grown vegetables and helping to make from scratch the soups and ready meals that are then dispatched to the consumer. Though a production type environment, the end product is of an extremely high quality and we are looking for someone with a Chef or catering background that can help produce volumes of these fresh products.

Working to daily recipes, the hours of work are either 7am - 3pm, 8am - 4pm or 9am - 5pm. Monday, Tuesdays and Wednesday's tend to be the busier days. As a team, they tend to finish early on a Friday.

There is also an evening shift from 8pm - 6am, which carries a 15% wage premium and requires you to work 4 nights a week (Sunday through Wednesday).

Due to the location- it is essential that you have your own transport.

The salary being offered for this position is £18 - £23K depending on experience and with an extra 15% for the night role.

This position is a great alternative for a Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, Catering Manager, Catering Supervisor, looking for something a little different, with better hours.
