Location: Runcorn with some travel to Nottingham

About the Role

The DCC is actively seeking two highly skilled, experienced and motivated Remedy Administrators for the opportunity to join one of the most talented and dynamic teams in the UK supporting this prestigious programme.

In the role of Remedy Administrator you will work closely with other functions within Operations and CTO teams to become a key figure in the DCC for delivering excellent customer service.

You will have the ability to operate at a level that provides a strategic view across this complex landscape combined with the drive and determination to absorb a significant amount of information to ensure high quality service delivery and improvement of customer service satisfaction (both internal and external). You will have a technical appreciation of the Remedy infrastructure and the experience to develop templates and tools to reduce service defects and improve front desk efficiency.

Role Detail

  • The role has responsibility for configuration & administration of BMC Remedy ITSM version 9 - comprising Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release Management, Knowledge Management, Service Request Management, Service Level Management and CMDB/Asset Management modules.
  • There is a commitment to provide the successful candidates with training to keep their knowledge of the Remedy platform up to date.
  • To establish and maintain good stakeholder relationships at all levels in the DCC ensuring that clear expectations are being delivered and met.
  • Administration of the following activities;
    • Create and configure companies, organizational structures, and sites
    • Specify auto-assignment of requests to support groups
    • Describe the purpose of permission groups and functional roles for ITSM application administrators; and assign and manage ITSM permission groups
    • Configure and administer People records
    • View, create, and update product catalogue entries, operational catalogue, and generic catalogue entries
    • Configure ITSM approval processes and the role of administrators in configuring approvals, including the Approval Server enhancement

Candidate Requirements

  • Well versed in the use of Remedy (ideally Remedy 9) including using it to develop templates and tools to reduce service defects and improve front desk efficiency.
  • Experience of service management from a comparable environment.
  • Experience of developing and delivering training material would be useful.
  • Capable of developing initiatives to provide continuous service improvements and cost reductions.
  • An engaging personal style with the confidence to provide advice, support and guidance on matters concerning the provision of Remedy services.
  • Good report writing and requirements gathering skills are essential.
  • An ability to develop and build trusting open relationships using excellent stakeholder management skills.
