Lecturer - Procurement & Supply Chain

£50,000 - £70,000 + Bens

Milton Keynes

To work with colleagues in preparing and delivering top-level Procurement and Supply Chain Management teaching on graduate programmes, including the MSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, MSc in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, MBA, Exec MBA programmes. To also present similar material on cross-campus teaching as required. To develop contacts with companies to provide executive education and consulting, to support the improvement of their Procurement and Supply Chain Management strategies. To link these contacts into research projects. To conduct a portfolio of research in the area of Procurement and Supply Chain Management and to make significant intellectual contributions, through regular publishing in leading journals. To supervise doctoral students including membership of the PhD / DBA review panels and acting as an internal examiner. To provide leadership in the Procurement and Supply

Education / Qualifications

PhD / Msc in Procurement or relevant subject (e.g. logistics, supply chain management, operations management) or alternative

Must have a strong track record in teaching ideally in both graduate and executive education and you will have publications in high-quality journals (CABS and / or Financial Times lists).

Income generation Industrial experience is highly desirable as the role will involve extensive work with senior managers.

Knowledge A clear understanding of the Procurement and Supply Chain Management issues that companies face and ways in which they can be supported.
