How does working out in the community, managing your own diary, and helping job seekers into employment on some new cutting edge support contracts sound?

This charity delivers grass roots employment support projects, and have 2 years’ worth of ESF and DWP funding to help job seekers get back into work who are non-mandated.  You will receive referrals from the job centre for people who either have a long term health condition, where you can fast track them into waged employment schemes (this means an employer can take them on for free for 6 months as the wages are paid for by the government).  As well as providing tailored one to one job search as part of a specialist local authority support team working with people who are registered as a ‘troubled family’- meaning there could be challenges within the family as a whole around child truancy, drug and alcohol support or debt management.

If this sounds like you, and you like the idea of working for a nice charity, and making a difference, then please feel free to apply for this role.  You will have an office base in Islington, where you will likely spend one day a week. The rest of the week you will be working out of job centres or community centres across Wandsworth, Lewisham, Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea and Camden.  You must have a background of working as an employment advisor previously to be considered (essential).  Feel free to call James Chessum to discuss the role further (number on Red 5 Solutions website), or if you have applied and have not heard back, please email (again, address on Red 5 Solutions website) and we promise to get back in touch.
