Sheridan Maine Finance & Accountancy are recruiting a Management Accountant position for a client based in Southampton. This role is working within a medium sized finance department, reporting to the Financial Controller.

Our client, a subsidiary of a large group offer free parking, flexible hours and a friendly office environment - just outside of Southampton.

Duties Include:

- Producing month end management accounts.
- Creating and posting journals.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Reviewing P&Ls.
- Assisting with invoicing.
- Production of management information.
- Producing & maintaining budgets and forecasts.
- Producing excel statutory account files, Trial Balance, P&L and balance sheet.
- Assisting auditors.
- Delivering month end commentary where appropriate.
- Other work as deemed necessary.

The successful applicant will have the following attributes:

- PQ or qualified ACCA/CIMA desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work to an intermediate/advanced level on Excel and comfortable working with large data sets.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Ability to identify improvements and efficiencies.
