Work Relief Charity Recruitment is acting on behalf of one of the world’s most recognisable charities and recruiting for their talent and youth development team.

With the onset of an exciting new Youth Training / Development scheme, we are looking for a Programme Assistant Manager to lead groups of young adults in recognising and developing their talents - with the aim to increase confidence, motivation and skills to enable young people to move into employment, education or training

£17,542 per annum

Full Time, Permanent

Duties will include:

  • Assist in the facilitation and success of the skills support programme
  • Recruit, select and lead young NEET individuals through an accredited personal development programme
  • Manage a caseload of participants, setting goals and providing ongoing support
  • Guiding each member on an individual learning journey to achieve the qualification and progress onto a positive outcome of employment
  • Work with local partners to facilitate work and community support placements
  • Attend the charity’s events with a view to increase participation and retention

This is a fantastic role for an experienced programme manager / project manager / mentor / youth worker / support worker / engagement officer / career guidance worker / teacher / trainer looking for a new rewarding role within a supportive charity.

Applicants must have:

  • Experience of effectively delivering development, education training or support to young people
  • Knowledge of the issues and challenges of young people
  • Experience of working with hard to reach or vulnerable young people
  • Experience of developing, supporting, delivering / facilitating training to young people or vulnerable adults
  • Understanding of, Health and Safety, and Safeguarding
  • Strong communication and excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to be engaging and enthusiastic with young audiences
  • Current clean driving licence including willingness to complete appropriate minibus driver training
