Job Title: Account Manager

Salary: £25-30K Salary (OTE £35-37K)

We are looking for a professional enthusiastic sales person looking for a fresh challenge to build a long term career with our client. This is a new business focussed role so you will need to be a driven and motivated person not afraid of making those initial introductions. This can be a slower sales process so it is key to build long term relationships with your clients within the education sector.

You will be based from our Nottingham office, this is a fully office based role.

Requirements for the role -

  • Proven sales experience
  • Ability generate new business by cold calling and prospecting
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Commercially astute
  • Professional
  • Preferably hold A-levels or above within education
  • Experience within the software sector is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience selling in to education sector is beneficial but not essential

The main duties of the Internal Sales Account Manager can be summarised as follows:

New Business Development
o Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
o Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Call potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
o Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization.
o Research and build relationships with new clients.
o Set up meetings between client decision makers and the Pre-sales and territory managers
o Deliver approaches and pitches that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
o Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements and working through differences to a positive conclusion. * Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.

Client Retention
o Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.
o Work with technical staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs.

Management and Research
o Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate.
o Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM
o Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
o Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets.
o Work with marketing staff to ensure that campaigns are effectively executed
o Demonstrate the 4 C Values
o Any other reasonable request made by management
