An interiors supply company based in South West London is looking for a Bookkeeper to work in their small friendly office.

This is a great opportunity for someone to join a growing company and to help shape the role. Your role will be to support the Finance Director of this growing dynamic organisation.

Main responsibilities of the Bookkeeper / Finance Assistant will include:

Overall charge of company accounts on Sage Line 50

  • Recording all banking transactions

  • Inputting of all new sales orders

  • Invoicing out all sales invoices

  • Inputting all purchase invoices

  • Monthly payroll

  • Processing monthly expenses

  • Producing the month end P & L

  • Processing VAT Returns

  • Pay Corporation Tax

  • Collating all Year-end information giving and liaising with Accountants

  • Quarterly service charge invoices

  • Reconcile private bank statements both UK and France

  • Collate all dividend information

  • Input both sets of mileage allowance in company accounts

  • Liaise with Accountants regarding personal income tax

  • Ensure HMR&C personal tax payments are made

    HR and Health and Safety compliance

  • Overall charge of all matters relating to HR and Health and Safety compliance.

  • Recruitment - employment agencies and platform advertising e.g. Gumtree

  • Initial interviewing of candidates

  • Drawing up of contracts

  • Workplace pension compliance

  • Ensuring all employee records are maintained in a legally required manner

The ideal Bookkeeper will have:

  • Part qualified accountant or a fully qualified senior bookkeeper with a recognised qualification
  • Experience gained in a similar position
  • HR experience
  • A confident team player who is capable of being firm but fair
