About the role: 

The Business Intelligence Officer will be a key contributor to the successful delivery of the performance targets across our Oldham PFI contract, to work with the team to report performance, to flag up early warning signs and to help create a greater focus on proactive performance monitoring. 

Within the organisation, he/she will also be responsible for collecting, analysing and presenting key performance information on time and ensuring Data Quality is of the highest standard which supports the achievement of our Business Intelligence Strategy. 

Key duties: 

- Production of relevant performance information on time in accordance with agreed timescales 
- Leading or supporting PFI audits and reviews 
- Providing performance ‘temperature checking’ data to the PFI team in line with agreed timescales 
- Understanding of deduction threshold and escalations 
- Implement and maintain monitoring systems for all indicators, targets and standards 
- Responsibility for data quality, including prioritising data cleansing requirements 
- Maintain an ongoing forensic grip on data quality 
- Responsible for producing key performance reports 
- Analysis of key performance data to identify improvement priorities and trends 
- Gather greater insight and intelligence around key drivers of performance 
- Provide support to corporate projects 
- Analysing data to carry out customer segmentation allowing the organisation to predict future behaviour and influence customer behaviour 
- Predicting year end performance for KPIs based on trends over current and previous years 

Essential skills / experience: 

- Collating statistical information 
- Excellent IT skills 
- Understanding the principles of good performance management 
- Understands importance of high levels of customer satisfaction 
- Good interpersonal skills 
- Interested in new technological developments 

Desirable skills / experience: 

- Assisting in the production of performance reports 
- Analysing comparative information 
- Creating, maintaining and manipulating databases and spreadsheets 
- Knowledge of Housing systems, e.g. IBS 
- Understanding of Housing Association regulatory requirements in relation to statistical returns 
- Driving licence / car owner
