Salary: From £19,323 per annum 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 35 hours per week

About the role: 

If you are a proactive and positive individual who enjoys analysing data to inform processes and identify training needs this may be the role for you. The Stock Control Analyst is responsible for continuously reviewing and amending all trade operative van stocks to improve the number of jobs fixed first time entirely from van stock. This includes identifying where processes are not working and solutions of how we can improve these areas. You will also be responsible for providing coaching and training to operatives to ensure they understand how to manage their van stock correctly and ensuring they are able to utilise their PDA’s correctly. 

Key duties: 

- Review all operatives’ stock usage by day, to determine the order of van stock reviews 
- Liaise with the Fleet Manager for any changes to operatives vehicles 
- Liaise with RFM’s when setting up new starters’ van stocks and processing leavers 
- Prepare ‘new operative’ van stock lists based on the average for their trade 
- Conduct full van stock audits recording differences and replenishing to the correct stock levels 
- Report any significant stock variances to the Repairs Field Manager and Supply Chain Manager 
- Negotiate amendments to current van stock quantities with the trade operatives 
- Assist in coaching Operatives in the correct use of the SRN App and accurate recording of data 
- Review measures over time for % of repairs completed from van stock, miles travelled acquiring parts, number of jobs per operative per day etc. 
- Liaise with the Warehouse Manager to pick any required van stocks or return stock not required from vans 
- Liaise with the Warehouse Manager & Supplier Controller to source and sufficiently stock items for changes to van stock levels 
- Works with Warehouse Manager & Supplier Controller to ensure full availability of materials are in stock at the distribution centre 
- Highlight frequent tool hire items to the Supply Chain Manager in order that those tools can be purchased 
- Ensure the Asset Register for tools and PPE equipment are accurate and up to date 
- Assist with responsive operative order requests raising purchase orders with suppliers 
- Monitor stock system information and analyse discrepancies 

Essential skills / experience: 

- Intermediate excel skills including pivot tables, Vlookups, Data validation and other excel analysis tools 
- Experienced in using and updating stock systems 
- Ability to analyse situations based on data trends 
- Team management experience 
- Able to effectively interrogate database information 
- Understanding of customer service and in particular delivering a replenishment service 
- Strong negotiating and challenging skills, with the ability to influence at all levels 
- Able to respond to commercial and emergency requirements outside normal works hours 

Desirable skills / experience: 

- Experience in an accounting / auditing role 
- Warehouse experience 
- Repairs materials knowledge 
- Experience of working with housing-specific IT systems 
- Experience of delivering Continuous Improvement
