Product Support Specialist - Drives and Motion

Position: Product Support Specialist - Drives and Motion 
Location: North West and South / South West 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 9.00am - 5.30pm 
Salary: £34k - £38k per annum, dependant on skills and experience

About the role: 

The Product Support Specialist will be responsible for providing technical knowledge, advice and support to external customers, to develop profitable Drives & Motion sales growth within the client's owned accounts, in line with company targets. The role will consist of developing existing accounts and new business development targets and providing technical solutions to application challenges. 

Responsibilities: 

- Responsibility for the profitable growth of the Drives & Motion business in their relevant geographical area. 
- Manage the day to day sales activity of Drives & Motion products. 
- Instrumental in converting New Business development opportunities and priority target accounts. 
- Offer training, advice and assistance to their local branches. 
- Attend joint customer visits with Routeco Sales Engineers, Sales Managers and Rockwell Account Managers to all accounts. 
- Ensure own level of personal development and product knowledge is kept up to date. 
- Communicate and interface with all other branches and departments on commercial issues and portray a professional image at all times. 
- Accountable for personal development and contribute to the evaluation of performance in line with Routeco’s core competencies and learning and development framework. 

About you: 

- The job calls for a person who enjoys dealing with people, creating and maintaining relationships as well as making a good impression both personally and for the organisation. 
- A good level of education is required; HNC / HND in electrical engineering (or equivalent electrical engineering qualification) would be advantageous. 
- Extensive knowledge of Drives, Motion and architecture is required. 
- Experience in similar sales / customer service environment. 
- Ability to provide practical solutions from within the product range, solve problems and look for continuous improvements for both the customer and the company. 
- Persistence and flexibility to see a job through to conclusion. 
- Ability to work under pressure and exhibit exceptional commercial acumen. 
- Demonstrate the products features and the integration with PLC’s so programming knowledge of Rockwell Logix 5000 would be an advantage.
