IT Operations Controller – Stains-Upon-Thames - £29325 - £39100 + Additional Shift Allowance
We are currently recruiting for a well-known client for an IT Operations Controller to be based in Staines-Upon-Thames on a permanent basis. This role does offer a fantastic pay rate between £29325 and £39100 with additional shift allowance.
The IT Operations Controller will be the management bridge between the Operation and IT. The IT Operations Controller operates 24/7 and 365 days per year. The IT operations Controller will be required to be fully flexible and ideally have experience of working in a large outsource service environment. The applicant will be highly motivated in managing the delivery of services, solutions and operations and be able to manage and resolve problems quickly, efficiently and resourcefully.
Principle accountabilities·Management of Major Incidents and ensures effective interface to all associated processes (Major Incident Reporting, Problem Management (including Root Cause Analysis), Knowledge Management, Change Management)·Ability to own and run Crisis Management communications·Facilitates the planning of all out of hours Change activity, ensuring effective communication, scheduling and monitoring of Change·Provide formal signoff for changes at the planning stage·Maintain effective relationships with suppliers/ partners to organise the efficient supply of services within agreed contractual terms·Attend CAB (Change Advisory Board)·Assist with production of maintenance schedules·Production of Major Incident Reports
Qualifications and Experience·Strong customer communication skills·Analysis and problem solving·Calm when under pressure·Delivery Management·Strong knowledge in ITIL v3 Foundation·Good technical knowledge of IT infrastructure – network, server, storage
Experience·Must be able to interact well with all stakeholders, dealing with the challenges presented with a high degree of technical expertise·Able to lead teams and drive activities within tight timeframes ·Good team working capability·Methodical approach with good attention to detail·Analytical Problem Solving ·Root Cause Analysis ·Working Under Pressure And To Tight Time Scales ·Prioritising Work·Managing of Major Incidents, providing leadership to resolution and clear communications throughout is beneficial
