ETL/BI Consultant (for consulting company) - Central London, No Travel. My client is a market leading consultancy who specialise in analysing and consulting on major organisation's Finance and procurement functions. They have recently developed and released their own proprietary Software as a Service (SaaS)| which automates many of these consulting procedures from a data-led standpoint.

They are looking for Consultant level professionals to join their Analytics team based in Central London. The nature of this role will be varied, both working on the SaaS offering and also across several other more traditional consulting projects.

Key requirements of this role are:
  • SQL Server 2012 or 2016 ETL experience
  • Understanding of data sets and data models.
  • Good communication and ability to work across several projects at the same time
  • Data Warehousing techniques
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • ETL of a diverse range of file types (Excel, csv, text etc)
  • Experience of collecting and synthesing data from multiple disparate sources and presenting upwards
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Consulting experience/background

'Nice to have' attributes are:
  • MS SSIS hands on experience
  • Big Data experience
  • SAP and/or Oracle database experience
  • Experience in software development using a range of technologies (scripting, OO languages, web technologies)
  • Retail - Merchandising processes and concepts
  • Familiarity with Procurement/AP data sets: Source-to-Pay, Spend Classification and related business processes
  • Experience in software development using a range of technologies (scripting, OO languages, web technologies)
  • Management consulting or similar advisory services experience
  • Familiarity with BI products such as SSRS, Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, etc.
  • SQL query performance tuning

This is a superb opportunity to join a well-established global consultancy at the beginning of a new chapter. This role presents the rare opportunity to have the variety and diversity of consultancy work, but without the travel requirements that so often accompany consultancy positions.
