My client, a leading retailer, is seeking a manager for the Device, Mobility and Application support team.

This position will be to lead a disparate team of 3rd line support engineers in the continuous improvement of the service across this large, multinational organisation which is home to 80,000 employees. As well as the leadership of the team in ensuring all KPIs and SLAs are hit, a large part of this role will be to effectively seek out opportunities to improve the service through innovation and projects within this face-paced environment. It is essential that the right candidate has a wealth of experience in leading technical teams, promoting a customer centric environment delivering operational excellence at all levels.

  • Manage and lead a team of 30 3rd line support engineers
  • Deliver continuous improvement through specific projects across the DMA service
  • Ensure the best service is being delivered through the relevant KPIs and SLAs
  • Engage closely with the business in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Travel regularly to the business's offices (2 in the UK, 1 in France) - this will be around twice per month

Key Competencies
  • Good experience in running a 3rd-line support team
  • Proven experience of successfully initiating continuous improvement through new projects
  • Excellent leadership experience including resource management, development and recruitment
  • Self-starter and good initiative
  • Experience of working in a large complex organisation
