Reeson Education are currently working with a fantastic primary school in the Royal Borough of Greenwich who are looking for a Year 3 or 4 teacher to join them from September. As the school is located in an inner London borough all teachers are entitled to an inner London salary in line with the main and upper pay scales. The school is based in an area with a rich cultural diversity which is celebrated and used to enhance the experiences of their pupils and staff.

In the most recent Ofsted report they were deemed as being a Good school which was a fantastic improvement on their previous report in which they were rated as Satisfactory. The school is still rapidly improving and hoping to achieve Outstanding in their next Ofsted inspection. The success and support of the leadership teachers as well as the very good behaviour of children were picked up on as areas of strength. The attendance of the pupils is consistently above average of which the staff are very proud.

Community is very important and they actively work with a number of other schools as well as a variety of organisations to assist staff to deliver a curriculum that is suitable and current for 21st century learners. They place great emphasis on Education for Sustainable Development which teaches people who to take care of our world at school, through community and on global levels. It incorporates Science, Geography, History and PSHE as well as learning through reallife situation such as school trips to insure their pupils experience things first hand.

Reeson Education work with this school on both their long term and permanent roles as well as with daily supply work and from all teachers we have had very good feedback. It has often been noted how friendly the other members of staff area and what a great atmosphere it has. It is a lovely school with particularly well behaved children and a lot of outside space which is obviously rare in London! They are expanding in the next academic year so in terms of career development its a great opportunity for those who are looking forward to move into middle or senior leadership roles in the near future.

The Headteacher is really keen to meet with candidates who have previous experience of teaching the Year 4 or 5 curriculum. Experience working in London primary schools is preferable but not necessary and they are able to conduct skype and phone interviews with candidates who are relocating. Previous experience working with other KS2 year groups is also valued by the school but again is not an absolute requirement. The school welcomes applications and are keen to meet potential candidates for both informal meetings if desired and formal interviews in the first two weeks back after the Easter break.

In order to be shortlisted for this position you will need to have the following:
