Technical Development Lead, Permanent. West London
SDLC Technical Development Lead : Delivery of on-line web / cloud application developed using MS .Net Stack technologies across a global server platform. In brief I am looking for a Development Lead for a data publishing company based in West London. The critical requirements are experience in delivering software solutions and managing the output of groups of developers, onshore and offshore and via 3rd party partners. This is a Technical Development Lead of MS .Net Stack environment delivering online e-commerce web / cloud based software solutions, products and services. However as the team is relatively small (5 to 10), the role has a degree of Solution Architecture responsibility. This role will suit a Technical Lead /Architect who has some team management experience, ideally line management, but matrix management will also suffice. Key Skills: - Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field. - Management/leadership experience in a software development organization required, preferably in an information delivery environment. - Strong experience working through the design, development, release cycle delivering software to live productive environments. - Large/enterprise application development experience preferred. - Strong understanding of the software development cycle. - Strong leadership, project management, time management, and problem solving skills. - Experience in computer programming using Java, .net or other web application frameworks. - Demonstrable experience in running with various project methodologies including agile, scrum and waterfall principles. - Experience solving complex and large-scale software problems. - Experience in the use of integration tools such as Team Foundation Server as a basis for managing code base and workload according to project requirements. - A track record of successful delivery of software systems as an individual, team leader and or/development manager. - A willingness to dive into software environments and technical issues as part of maintaining the skills necessary to manage and advocate products and projects. - Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done. - Excellent written and oral communication. - Excellent cross-functional collaboration and leadership. - A passion for quality and continuous improvement of processes and software, well versed with software engineering practices (eg Continuous Engineering, Build/Deploy, Unit Testing, Regression Testing, Test & Staging Environments) - Self-motivated, team player, action and results oriented - Well organized with good communication and reporting skills - Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines Salary offered is circa £65,000 pa + 15% bonus + benefits. NOTE that candidates eligible to work in the UK in the long term can only be considered. Candidates must live within easy commutable distance of West London W4.
