Senior Project Manager - residential projects
This is an excellent opportunity for a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER with experience of large residential / housing projects to join a successful firm of construction consultants in central London.
Your background should be in construction consultants or housing developers with initial training in quantity surveying, building surveying, construction project management or similar built environment background etc. and you will have at least four years or more project management experience.
This residential project is the initial project and then you will have the opportunity of working on other types of construction projects.
This is a long established firm of construction consultants who have a broad base of clients in the private and public sectors with offices in the U.K. and abroad.
They are working on a good range of projects in the private and public sectors which includes construction projects for residential, education, healthcare, commercial offices and more.
THE CANDIDATE / DUTIES
My client is now seeking a Senior Project Manager who can project manage the whole construction process from defining the sope of the project right through to project delivery on site.
You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in a Built Environment subject and be either MRICS / MAPM / CIOB qualified or working towards such qualification with at least four years or more project management experience - with particular experience of residential projects.
Ideally you will be working for another firm of consultants, local authority, housing association or developer and will have front end project management experience plus project delivery experience.
You will need to have excellent organisation and client facing skills along with being highly computer literate.
You should be able to work on your own or as part of a team.
You must be able to run your own projects, representing the client, offering advice to project manage the design and construction teams from initial concept through to final handover.
Salary for this role is in the region of £50000 to around £55000 negotiable per annum pension and other benefits.
