The Estates Directorate is seeing to make the appointment of project managers at various levels to strengthen the capability of the Capital Programme team that is responsible for delivering the University’s £100m p.a. development programme. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager will lead on the management of a range of mid-sized and major capital projects across the University’s diverse estate portfolio of research facilities, academic buildings, commercial space, public realm, recreational and sports facilities and historic buildings.
The successful candidate will have gained recent experience of managing refurbishment and new build projects in a client side or client’s consultant role. You will have excellent stakeholder management skills, with a proactive and collaborative communication style. Strong technical skills are essential as it is expected that candidates will be adept at managing all stages of the project lifecycle from briefing and design development through to procurement and construction delivery.
