Our client is small but rapidly growing company and they are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to work in their expanding Finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The successful candidate should be a part-qualified accountant with at least 1 years' experience of working in a finance team doing the full management accounts. Job Description: - Preparation of the monthly management accounts for 3 group companies prior to review by the FM. This includes preparation of the monthly accounts pack with analysis on variances to budget and KPI analysis on sales, revenues and costs. - Overseeing the work of the finance assistant on the accounts payable and sales ledger function. - Managing fixed assets register and prepayments. - Assist with revising the current Management Accounts to develop better monthly reporting to key business management and budget-holders. - Preparing and upkeeping monthly reports on departmental spend for the FM to go through with budget holders on a regular basis. - Assist with the revenue forecast and work on the upkeep and improvement of a model projecting future revenues. - Assist the FM in implementing a royalties / rights management system. - Manage incoming agent quarterly royalty reporting, including review of statements against contracts for all licences to ensure accuracy of reporting. - Help the FM to calculate royalties due to the company's stakeholders and to put together statements. Tax / Compliance - Preparation of the VAT returns for all companies reviewed by the FM. Skills/Experience: - Part-qualified (CIMA/ACCAor Equivalent). - Experience in media industry will be a great advantage. - Excellent management reporting skills with a high attention to detail. - Good working knowledge of accounting systems. - Strong IT skills, with an advanced knowledge of Excel highly essential. - Excellent communication skills. - Team player. - Strong analytical skills driven by the effective use of Excel. - Organisedand task focused in order to meet deadlines.
