The Disabled Children’s social work team is part of a dynamic and responsive Integrated Service for Disabled Children with Complex Needs. The team covers all aspects of children's social work from assessment and analysis, through to long term planning. There is a strong emphasis on multi agency working and strong links with services providing support to children and families in need of early intervention, which we believe is pivotal to the work we do.

What we’re looking for
We are looking for two team managers to join the Children with Disability Social Work Team who are passionate about ensuring the best possible outcomes for all our Children and Young People. Staff in the London Borough of Lewisham are committed to working together with key colleagues to ensure that they deliver the services they need to ensure children and young people have the opportunity to be happy, healthy, and successful where they feel safe.
You will have knowledge of the Children’s Act 1989 and other relevant legislation and experience of working with children and families social work within a statutory, voluntary or independent sector organisation. This should include work with disabled children and their families. You will be a qualified social worker with HCPC registration status. You will have sound written and verbal skills.
