Head of E-commerce (Travel) - Croydon/Sutton - £65-70k

Successful and well-respected travel company, based South of London is looking for a Head of E-commerce to oversee a team of 5.

You will plan and implement all E-commerce strategic initiatives and deliver increased traffic, conversion & profitable growth, in line with business objectives. An analytical eye, able to measure site performance and identify improvements will be vital. The Head of E-commerce will Lead and inspire an E-commerce team to reach its full potential. You will enjoy the challenge of beating ambitious online sales targets as well as enjoy working in and Promoting a digital approach across all areas of the business.

You will develop and execute the e-commerce strategy - encompassing online acquisition, conversion & retention plans (SEM, SEO, PPC). You will develop class-leading user experience on the website(s) - across all devices, taking specific note of the emerging trends in mobile, tablet and other new technology. You will deliver website innovations to generate revenue including API's, white label and affiliates, while managing the ecommerce related budgets, cost and revenue targets. You will be responsible for all acquisition through email marketing and social media communication, while overseeing video content creation and strategy. You will develop robust measurement, tracking and reporting mechanisms, establishing KPI's in line with business requirements.

To be considered for this role, you MUST have the following skills/experience:

  • Relevant degree or work-related professional qualification
  • Experience of inspiring and coaching a team to achieve its full potential
  • Excellent knowledge of digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, PPC, Affiliate Marketing, Display Advertising, Email Marketing, Content Marketing, Social Media Marketing, etc.)
  • Expert knowledge of Google Analytics from a day-to-day usage and implementation/customisation perspective
  • Experience in managing ecommerce projects
  • Experience working within e-travel, travel or hotel industry
  • Knowledge of / experience with OTA (Open Travel Alliance) specifications
  • Understanding of current commercial arrangements and devising and implementing a digital strategy with existing core distributions (national and regional newspaper partners and travel agents)
