The Independent Schools sales team is responsible for direct sales of SIMS product and service propositions to international schools. Working closely with Marketing, the team is responsible for maximising sales, meeting defined sales targets and developing Capita's reputation as the partner of choice for MIS related products and services in the education sector.

The internal sales team are responsible for prospect lead generation and handling reactive sales enquiries, running campaigns and developing business with existing accounts at all levels.

The role is a based in Cirencester. This role reports to the Sales Manager.

Capita Education Software Services are experts in helping schools and Children's Services departments manage children's data. Our management information systems enable better decision making and allow those who work with children to spend less time on meaningless administration.

The role is based in Bedford. With the occasional need to travel. The SIMS Solutions department covers Development, Product Management and Partners. We have approx. 150 staff including 30 offshore split between Product, Project Management, Development, Test and Business Analysis.

What you will do:

      • Supporting the Business Development Manager(s) for an allocated territory to ensure that targets for licences and services are met
      • Producing month end sales statistics (and other adhoc requests for analysis)
      • Daily sales updates
      • Hitting defined lead and call targets as given by designated manager.

Your experience will include:

      • Strong verbal communication skills
      • Accurate, clear writing skills
      • Motivated and willing to learn
      • Attention to detail
      • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Strong Excel skills would be an advantage
      • Responsive to change
      • Flexible and willing to support colleagues
