Your day-to-day work involves calling senior decision-makers responsible for the buildings and interiors at companies across the UK. You’ll need to establish credibility quickly and then open up your potential clients to share information with you about their property plans. If their need matches the service you offer, you’ll be expected to book appointments for your more senior colleagues to meet them face-to-face. Do that well and you’ll carve a good career for yourself in this high-tempo, sociable and lucrative market. You will be given full training in their industry (people from within the industry very welcome to apply); plenty of new and existing leads; ongoing mentorship from the Telesales Manager; and lots of opportunities to both earn well and grow your career.
You will probably have some telemarketing or telesales experience, at least a year would be good, and you’re now looking to use your experience to earn more money in a new market. You’ll know what cold calling is all about and will have a good idea of the skills, habits and resilience needed. You don’t yet need to be the finished article as a salesperson but you must be clear and confident over the phone with the ability to pick up systems and market expertise quickly.
You do not need experience of the commercial property sector though, if you do, it would be really helpful. With an excellent work ethic and the motivation to be successful in what is a competitive market (all lucrative markets are competitive of course!), you’ll be looking to establish yourself as a trusted generator of new business. Once you get your senior team in front of clients, they have an excellent ratio of winning business (making you money!).
On offer is a salary of £25-30,000 plus commission that should take your earnings to £35-40,000 and more in your first year. Top earners in this market with several years’ experience make at least £80,000 a year. To apply or find out more, please contact us and quote job ref ST2384.
