They require an experienced Service Engineer to provide support to their customers on a product range which includes Metal Detection, Checkweighing and X-ray inspection equipment. The Service Engineer’s location is flexible but ideally they would live in or near to Birmingham, Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Peterborough

The Service Engineer will receive a base salary between £28-33k, dependent on candidate capabilities.

Skills / Qualifications
As a prospective Service Engineer the more of the following "boxes" you can tick, the better is your chance of being selected for interview:-

• Minimum of HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
• Significant electrical engineering experience in a production environment and ideally gained in a service role
• Experience of Product Inspection equipment and systems - Checkweighers, X-Ray or Metal Detection equipment would be beneficial but not essential
• Experience working remotely on multiple customer sites in a service capacity
• Knowledge of PC based systems is essential
• Must have a pro-active and enthusiastic approach which is customer focused and outcome orientated
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• PC literate with knowledge of MS Office
• Possess a full, clean driving licence

The primary role of the Service Engineer is to provide prompt efficient and effective service support for a range of products and their associated peripherals and accessories within the Product Inspection Division by means of field visits to customer sites and occasionally from the workshop. Currently the range of products includes Metal Detection, Checkweighing, X-Ray Inspection equipment, Vision, Dimensioning and Data gathering equipment

The primary responsibilities include:

• Ensure service is provided in a timely and cost effective manner
• Investigation, diagnosis and rectification of breakdowns on customer equipment
• Routine service and/or calibration/validation activity for the PI Division product range
• Promoting audits/calibration/validation activity for the PI Division range
• Provide technical support to customers during service visits and subsequent telephone/ e-mail as necessary
• Provide first line technical help desk support to customers, admin teams and other sales/service team colleagues
