Our clients are a specialist property insurance company renowned for their firm principles on service, quality of cover and customer satisfaction and are looking to recruit an intelligent, enthusiastic Policy Handler to join their busy team based in the city centre.
The organisation was founded in the late 90’s and has since grown to become one of the UK's leading insurers for landlords, and offer some of the best products available, from standard home insurance to commercial property and even to cover overseas holiday homes.
Their approach to insurance is flexible and adaptable, and they are always looking at ways in which to enhance their products and service. As such they require a candidate to be an excellent team player as well as knowing and understand how to prioritise their own work load. Our client is looking for a candidate that can work well within the pressures of the insurance world as part of their compact city centre team and show energy, enthusiasm and creativity within the professional ethos of the company.
The right candidate must be able to think laterally and have the ability to work around problems and challenge constructively where necessary.
• All aspects of New Business Processing
• All policy quotations and new quotations
• All aspects of Adjustment Processing
• All aspects of Renewal Processing
• Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
• Dealing with all incoming telephone enquiries and issues
• Organising your own workload
• Meeting set targets
• Dealing with referrals through your supervisor
• Helping new and current employees
A minimum of 1 year’s experience required from a broker background of personal lines / household.

Remuneration / Benefits
Salary – £18,000 - £18,500 depending on which department the Policy Handler is working in.
Holidays - 25 per annum plus all bank holidays in addition – increases after 2 years service by 1 extra day per annum to a maximum of 30 days.
Honesty days – 3 per year
Travel Passes - You can benefit from an interest free company loan to buy an annual travel pass (bus, train or tram etc). The way this would work is that we would get your annual travel pass which would usually work out cheaper that buying a monthly pass and then it would get deducted from your salary monthly.
Insurance qualifications – available after passing your probation of 3 months.
