IT Sales Account Manager
Up to £24,000 DOE + uncapped OTE
We are currently recruiting an IT Sales Account Manager for our reseller client in Glasgow. Applicants must have proven experience specifically within an IT reseller sales environment and have been accountable for the full sales cycle, from sourcing and lead generation through to presentation and closing the sale. Experience of selling as many IT products as possible would be highly desirable.
The role will be for you to account manage and continually maximise spend with your clients, as well as cold calling for new business to continually grow your account base. You will need a good, current understanding of IT technology and be keen to learn more. Although you will primarily be based in the office and dealing with your business over the phone, your role could also possibly involve some visits to client sites if required and desired.
The role would suit individuals working for a reseller and who supply end-users with various manufacturers IT Hardware, Software, Support Services, Technical Office Equipment, Supplies/Consumables, IT Security, IT Services and all Audio Visual products and services - all of which the company supply. It will be your role to identify and generate new prospects and convert them into key accounts, and then develop and manage these accounts to their full potential.
Key qualities required for the position:
- A proven IT sales track record with a similar IT reseller
- Experience of selling products of multiple manufacturers, such as Dell, HP, Cisco, Microsoft, etc.
- A natural ability to build customer rapport & trust
- Self-motivation and ambition
- The ability to manage time and workload
- The analytical skill to assimilate information quickly
- Natural business acumen
- Experience of selling at senior levels within a company
- A proven ability to develop and close business opportunities
The starting salary on offer is up to £24,000 depending on experience and possibly negotiable, and this position also has an excellent uncapped commission package and profit share scheme.
