THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

If you are ambitious and career minded with a keen interest in the infrastructure that makes our country tick, then this could be the role and company to give you your chance. Are you a technically minded, civils/infrastructure Site Engineer looking for a change of direction from project delivery into work winning? You should have either Site Engineering experience with an appreciation for the Estimating process or be trained as a Junior/Assistant Estimator with the most ideal experience being within a Mechanical & Electrical environment (M&E).

THE ROLE

This is an unrivalled opportunity to make your way in the industry as an Estimator. Learning the ropes as an Assistant to the Estimating department and shadowing your colleagues and seniors, you will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to forge a successful and esteemed career as a civils and Mechanical and Electrical engineering/infrastructure Estimator. Good Estimators are few and far between in the current market, so this opportunity provides you with a solid platform towards an illustrious career giving you the mentorship, training and development required to send you on your way to become one of the industries few, and in high-demand Estimators of the future. You will be coached and mentored thoroughly and will be exposed to a vast array of project types across rail, roads, structures and general civil engineering with a distinct bias towards Mechai8ncal and Electrical work packages. As an Assistant Estimator, you will start to learn the methodologies and best practice in understanding the information required to submit competitive and accurate work winning tenders.

THE REQUIREMENTS

Your chance to shine here is largely down to your character, personality and a genuine interest in the industry which should be reflected in your studies or work experience so far, with you ideally being degree qualified in a relevant subject or discipline such as civil engineering, construction or commercial management. Aside from qualifications, you should be able to demonstrate a knowledge and experience of working in rail, civils infrastructure or M&E environments with a willingness to learn, develop and progress your career.

THE SALARY

£20,000 - £30,000 + pension 5% + Healthcare + 25 days holiday + BH
